Here's how it works.
Three things, then you're in.
Wakeboarding is snowboarding and waterskiing rolled into one — except here there's no boat: a cable pulls you, like a ski lift. All you do is let it.
1 · Lesson on land
Five minutes on the dock. The instructor shows you how to hold the handle, how to get up on the board and how to keep your balance. All you have to do is strap the board on.
2 · You start in the water
You get into the water with the board on your feet. The cable pulls slowly, you keep your arms straight and let it lift you. If you fall nothing happens, you start again from where you fell: the board and the vest float.
3 · Ten minutes, all yours
The line is a straight 240 metres, at the end you set up a turn, the operator reverses the tow and you come back. The speed is always set to what you can handle. The first few times you stop at the end of the straight and start again from the water. Once you've learnt to ride safely, there are six floating obstacles to try, for jumps and slides.

The cable
A snowpark
that floats
It's a Two Towers 2.0 system, Lakeline brand, built by three companies from the Valle dei Laghi. One rider at a time, ten-minute sessions each, along a straight 240-metre line. At the end you set up a turn and come back.
Along the line there are six floating features — kickers, boxes and rails — for jumps and slides, suited to beginners and experienced riders alike. Just like a snowpark, except you land in the water.

Adjustable speed
The instructor works the tow with a remote from the dock. It starts slow and only speeds up when you're ready.

Floating kickers, boxes and rails along the whole line. Entry-level features for those still learning and harder features for experienced riders.
FISSW instructors
A school affiliated to the Italian Surfing, Waterski and Wakeboard Federation. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced rider, you'll always have a federal instructor on the dock to help you progress and learn new tricks. The venue also hosts rounds of the FISSW Cable Cup circuit.

Not just wakeboarding
SUP, canoes
and pedal boats
Lake Terlago sits inside an <strong>area protected</strong> for the biodiversity of its flora and fauna: you can explore it by SUP, pedal boat or canoe. Flat water, forest all around, Monte Bondone on one side and the Paganella on the other.
€15 an hour, whichever you pick. Anyone just watching can stay on the beach for free.

A terrace over the lake, sandwiches, piadine and pizzette, draught beer and drinks a few steps from our dock. And every week live music, concerts and DJ sets.
You can come just for the bar. Plenty of people do.
Kiting or windsurfing on Garda?
The no-wind day
isn't a lost day
When the Ora doesn't show up and you're stuck on the beach, here you don't need wind at all: the cable does the pulling. If you already know how to stand on a board you have a head start, and in ten minutes you'll know whether wakeboarding is for you. Thirty kilometres from Riva del Garda, forty minutes.

Frequently asked
Do I need to be a good swimmer?
The vest keeps you afloat and the board floats too, so you don't need to swim well. You just need to be comfortable in water — an instructor is always on the dock.
Will I manage on my first try?
Almost everyone gets up on the board during their first 10-minute session. There's a short lesson on the dock first, then you start from the water.
What's the minimum age?
Six years old. For the youngest, an instructor can go into the water with them.
What should I bring?
Swimwear and a towel. Board, helmet and vest are included; wetsuits are available when the water's cool.
What if it rains?
Rain is fine — you're getting wet anyway. We only close for thunderstorms: if you'd booked, we credit the ride back.
